HWSB™ BREAKS THE MOLD

Water treating is often considered a “black art”. That it is little understood in the oil production industry may be an understatement. The fact is that water treating is a very complex issue; too complex to be mixed with other operational issues. Few operators have the luxury of a staff with enough time to fully comprehend the subject. And so, the subject of water treating is rarely adequately addressed. This costs the industry hundreds of millions each year in plugged disposal and injection wells, fouled pipelines, inefficient tanks, and in lost productivity.

Clean water can be injected or disposed of at almost no cost to the produce. However, water with just a few parts per million of oil and iron sulfide can cost millions as it plugs and contaminates surface and subsurface facilities.

HTC developed the HWSB™ to produce high quality water without a pressure vessel, without filtration, and without any moving parts. This High-Tech design is so innovative it was granted patents in the US and Canada.

The HWSB™ is over 70% hydraulically efficient. This compares to <3% for most other designs. Over 200 HWSB™s are in service worldwide, each one outperforming the expectations of its owner.

FLOWBACK WATER TREATMENT

The subject of treating “Flowback Water” for re-use, deep well disposal, or re-injection is very much in the forefront of interests in the oil patch today. HTC’s technologies are aligned to the many challenges faced in flowback water processing. A key element is flowback related frac sand. HTC’s ISST™ sand settling tank was designed for well site desanding. It may be moved from well site to well site to de-sand all flowback water. This minimizes the need to truck sand to disposal or water treating plants. The ISST™ (Intermediate Sand Settling Tank) is designed to be transportable. With 24” x 36” manways down each side, it is also easily cleaned, and easily cleaned in minimal time. The ISST™ was designed specifically for flowback water ISST™. Designs range from 15,000 b/d to 80,000 b/d to meet every application. For larger or intermediate flow rates, use multiple ISST™s. The photos above show welders preparing the inlet manifold on an 80,000 b/d ISST™ during its fabrication, and the finished ISST™ being trucked to location.
